About Our Staff
Eva Doherty Gremmert, EA - Owner
Eva began her career as an accountant with her father, Ross Doherty, in 1980. She is dedicated to helping clients make intelligent financial decisions and ethically minimize tax liability.
Over the past 41 years, she has shown that her patience and determination ensure that every client is treated with high regard. Eva became an Enrolled Agent (EA) in 1988. EA's are federally-authorized by the US Treasury to represent taxpayers before the IRS. She is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor (certified by Intuit - Producer of QuickBooks software.)
Eva treats every client with respect and integrity. She provides independent financial analysis in addition to tax and accounting services.
Eva enjoys traveling in her spare time. She also is an author, blogger and professional genealogist.
Jodie L. MIller, CPA
Jodie holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Montana.
She has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by the Washington State Board of Accountancy since 1991, and has over 16 years of substantial industry experience in the non-profit sector.
Jodie joined HBG in 2004 and has become an integral part of serving our diverse client base. Her calm personal demeanor makes her a favorite among our many clients.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and keeping up with her busy family.
Derek A. Gremmert
Derek started working in the HBG tax office as a teenager.
He joined the firm full-time as the HBG office manager in 2010.
After completing his training he began working as a bookkeeper and income tax preparer in 2016. Derek is following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Ross Doherty who created the firm in 1974. In addition to tax preparation, Derek provides bookkeeping services and QuickBooks training and consulting.
In his spare time, Derek enjoys riding his motorcycle on sunny days, hunting and fishing, as well as keeping up with his five children.
